Out-of-state attorneys may practice before the BTA with permission of the Board under either 456-09-210 for formal hearings or 456-10-210 for informal hearings. Submit a Motion to Admit Out-of-State Attorney to request permission. For more information see: Practice of Law Board Advisory Opinion No. 5, “Representing a Business in Court or Before an Administrative Agency” confirming that GR 24 (b)(3) and (11) act to modify APR 8 (b) and allow the appearance of out-of-state attorneys with the permission of the administrative agency and without “association with an active lawyer member of the [Washington] Bar.”
